Alejandra has over 20 years of senior Human Resources experience in major international retail companies. Having lived in seven countries, she brings a truly global mindset, cultural adaptability, and the ability to navigate diverse environments with ease. She began her journey with IKEA in 2011 at the Badalona store in Spain.
Before her current role as Global People & Culture Manager (Global CHRO), Alejandra served as People & Culture Manager for IKEA Retail (CHRO IKEA Retail), further enhancing her commercial and retail insights. Over the past two years as Deputy Global People & Culture Manager (Deputy Global CHRO), she has successfully led major global initiatives, driving strategic transformation while embedding IKEA’s culture and values into decision-making processes.
Her international experience includes positions such as Country People & Country Manager for IKEA China (CHRO IKEA China), Group Talent Manager, People & Culture Manager for IKEA Retail (CHRO IKEA Retail), and Deputy Global People & Culture Manager (Global Deputy CHRO). In these roles, she has concentrated on talent development at scale, succession planning, leadership, and values-driven recruitment.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philology from Barcelona University, a Master’s degree (Cum Laude) in Humanities from the University of Amsterdam, and postgraduate qualifications in Business (PDD at IESE Business School) and in Talent Management. She is also a certified European Coach.
