Emily Birkin is Development & Transformation Manager at Ingka Group. She brings extensive experience from across IKEA, with a leadership journey rooted in retail and shaped by roles across markets, formats and cultures.
Emily joined IKEA in 1997 as a store co-worker in the UK and has since held a range of leadership roles across stores, countries and group functions. Her experience spans retail operations and commercial leadership, giving her a deep understanding of the IKEA value chain. Most recently, she served as Country Retail Manager and Chief Sustainability Officer for IKEA Sweden.
Emily is passionate about people, customers and leadership built on trust and humility. She is passionate about creating the right conditions for co-workers to grow, perform and feel empowered to shape the future of IKEA.
