Javier Quiñones is Commercial Manager at Ingka Group. He brings more than 25 years of IKEA experience across retail and market leadership in several countries.
Javier joined IKEA in 1999 as a sales co-worker at IKEA Badalona in Barcelona. Since then, he has held a range of leadership roles across three retail markets, including Store Manager in IKEA Spain, CEO of IKEA UK & Ireland, and most recently CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer of IKEA U.S., where he led over 16,000 co-workers.
Throughout his career, Javier has focused on strengthening accessibility, affordability and sustainability, while driving omnichannel growth and transformation. He has played a key role in developing digital customer journeys and expanding IKEA’s presence through new formats and services.
Born in Barcelona, Javier holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Barcelona. He is married to Maria and has two daughters, Martina and Carlota. He is driven by a strong belief in people, progress and creating a better everyday life for the many.
