“Our founder Ingvar Kamprad left us with a deep purpose and a promise to always side with the many people. Our future growth and resilience depend on how well we adapt to the fast-changing world; the new structure enables us to concentrate on IKEA and stay closer to reality. Growth is important as it gives us resources to continue to accelerate affordability and sustainability, which in the end is good for business, people and the planet, says Juvencio Maeztu, CEO of Ingka Group.
With this direction the company will reinforces its core business, IKEA Retail, and operate as a more efficient omnichannel retailer, where the IKEA stores are the backbone of the business model. It will continue to strengthen the resilience and future growth. In addition to IKEA Retail, Ingka Group operates Ingka Centres and Ingka Investments.
